How Can You Join?
To join we need a completed application, a dues deduction
card and a $5.00 initiation fee. You will be asked to attend the regular monthly meeting for your area where you will be sworn
in and welcomed to the local. Please contact a local official or job steward for more information and a copy of the application.
New members are also strongly encouraged to sign up for
COPE. For as little as $1.00 a month, you can help strengthen your Union and the labor movement through the poitical arena.

Who Can Join?
If you are an employee of Alabama Power
Company working in a bargaining unit classification then you are eligible to join.
We invite all new employees as well as any employees not
already members interested in their job and livelihood to join. Members should dedicate themselves to participate and make
a difference in their Union.

Benefits of Joining
The benefits to joining are simple but important. As sole representative
for employees in the APCo Bargaining Unit, the IBEW negotiates wages, pension and benefits, and safety and working conditions.
In short, we strive to improve the quality of life for all our members from the first day helper to the retiring journeyman.
But our strength comes from our unity. The more members we have united for the betterment of all, the stronger we
are.
